Let’s start with the basics, I am involved in an open marriage (I won't date anyone who hasn't met my wife). I don’t do one-night stands, but I am not really looking for forever either. I am very rarely attracted to anyone, so I hope to find several friends in hopes that one might develop into something more. I don’t do the “dating” ritual because in my opinion that is no way to get to know someone. I would much rather just hang out with someone and get to know them as friends than to worry about which “base” I might get to tonight. Once the “hormones” take over all sincerity is lost.

I am a very intelligent and very down to earth guy. I have a unique background that gives me a broad perspective on life. My personality borders between INTJ and INFJ (this is the most objective description of my personality I can give) As such I want a girl who is very open-minded and intelligent, a woman who will not quickly be overwhelmed. I need someone who is mature in thought and able to communicate openly and truthfully about anything.

I ride a motorcycle to work everyday. (A Honda PC800) I like to play chess and am pretty good at it (not great though, I went to a tournament once and was decimated). I was in the Army for 7 years (during the first Gulf War). I have worked as a sawmill hand, a warehouseman, a salesman, a machinist, and a repairman. I am now working as an experimental researcher in Nuclear Astro-Physics. (We study the mechanisms behind Nuclear reactions that take place in the stars)
I don't like reading between the lines, so say what you mean and don't worry about me misinterpreting it. I am very good at reading people but I don't like doing it. Whatever you do, don't try to be "nice" to me, lay it all out in the open (I am big boy I can take it). I always try to speak the truth; if you ask me a question I will give you a truthful answer or nothing at all. (So if you don't want to know don't ask)

My favorite Romantic comedy is "50 First Dates"; I tear up every time I watch it.

My favorite Book is "Stranger in a Strange Land" -Robert Heinlein, followed closely by anything from Douglas Adams.

I have a knack for invention, if you name a function, I will give you a design that will do it.

I am a large physically powerful man with a very soft and gentle disposition. I am a big Teddy Bear, so to speak.

I genuinely care for everyone I meet, but I am almost impossible to take advantage of. I solve people’s problems, not by giving them what they ask for, but by giving them what they need.

I don't get angry but I can get hurt. I value Mercy and Forgiveness over Vengeance and "Justice". And I believe that all people have some decency within them.
