Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als
I'm a peace loving, simple kind of man (but not simple minded) and I treasure peace and harmony over and above material possessions. I'm a nurse, so my work is all about helping people and I get a great deal of personal satisfaction from doing it. Presently I am an LPN in the med/surg unit of a rural West TN hospital and working on getting my RN by non-traditional means.
I'm told I have a good sense of humor and I do love to make people laugh. I have a reasonably good vocabulary and a woman’s ability to express herself intelligently and carry on a good conversation is very important to me. I am also very laid back and easy going, however I am not compatible with cigarette smoke or organized religion, so if your life revolves around tobacco or church, you should pass me by.
Like everyone else, I have a past but I strive to learn from it but not live in it. For example, from my past I have learned that I shouldn't be involved with clingy or jealous individuals. In my opinion, jealousy is born of low self-esteem and has little or nothing to do with love. I prefer to spend my time with positive people who don't base their self-worth on other people's opinions and who are already complete individuals, not looking for someone to complete them or fill some psychological void.
I have been told I am living in a fantasy and what I call love does not exist. If I find it, it will be the love of a lifetime... the one that knocks me off my feet... the one I can't live without. A relationship of mutual respect in which both parties can discuss any subject, and even disagree or argue without resorting to shouting and name calling. I did find that kind of relationship once and I have the good memories of a 15 year long marriage and two great children to show for it. Sure there were bad times along the way, but why dwell on that? Despite what I have been told, I believe some day I will find this kind of love again, but until then I will not search for it, I will let love find me as it did the first time. In the meantime I will continue to improve myself and hope to meet great friends along the way.
My personal philosophy mirrors that familiar saying...
Yesterday is HISTORY
Tomorrow is a MYSTERY.
Today is a GIFT, that's why it's called THE PRESENT.
So let's forget the past, try not to rush the future and just get to know each other in the present. Want to take that chance? You never know what could happen.
