I'm a happily divorced woman with two daughters whom I adore. I work, I play, I read, and I write.

Lots of people call themselves an open book; I'm not, nor do I pretend to be. I am however open to those I love and trust. But in the spirit of an introductory profile, I'll share a bit about me.

I follow both my head and my heart, and I give the two ample time to battle it out without reserve or apology. I appreciate family in general and have a good relationship with everyone in mine, albeit unusual in certain cases. I also have an amazing second family, aka my friends. They're a diverse group. I've known most of them since high school.

I'm open-minded about most things, I tend to be more adaptive than stagnant, and I enjoy others who are the same. I will watch a foreign film one night and throw popcorn at the TV when the ref makes a bad call during a football game the next. I read books by historians and philosophers for fun; I read J.K. Rowling and R.A. Salvatore because I'm addicted. Actually I'll read anything I can get my hands on if I have time. I also write. I'm a writer, not an author. Yet.

The only exception to my more non-traditional beliefs is when it comes to my own romantic preferences. I'm not ashamed to say I seek that illusive White Knight. And I believe the only people who have no soul mate are those who've unfortunately conformed into generics. I am not one of those people.

If you'd like to know more, feel free to contact me. A warning: I have a pet peeve about getting an introductory message when the person did not bother to apply basic grammar rules. I get especially perturbed by those who abbreviate three-letter words.
