Movies are not the best idea for a first date, since the point is for two people to figure out if there is enough interest in each other to warrant a second date, but they are a very common choice. In order to not be annoying, daters can’t talk during the movie, but there is usually an opportunity to go for a coffee or a drink afterward.

Not just the story of the movie or the actors, but the overall themes and messages in films can provide for great insight to her life attitudes that may not have been found out so soon otherwise. Movies introduce, tell, and conclude an entire story within two hours or so and provide lots of conversational fodder. If it was a particularly compelling movie, start with the ending. It is probably the part of the movie most fresh in both of your minds and the easiest to talk about.

Scout out your "after movie" place in advance. Look for somewhere that isn’t so busy and loud that you’ll have to yell in each others faces, but not too quiet. Too quiet
